An early morning car fire Friday destroyed a car parked on a residential street in North Massapequa, but investigators said they don't believe the cause to be suspicious.

The fire on North Virginia Avenue was reported by a resident at about 2:30 a.m., Nassau County police said.

Volunteers from the North Massapequa Fire Department responded, extinguishing the blaze. Photos from the scene show the vehicle heavily damaged by the fire.
