A Westbury man faces burglary charges after twice targeting the same restaurant for break-ins, Nassau County police said Thursday.

Frank Alfisi, 46, of 889 Plumtree Rd., is charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree attempted burglary after being arrested near the Chi restaurant at about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Detectives said Alfisi is suspected of trying to break into the restaurant on April 1, right around closing time, by climbing into a bathroom window.

The suspect escaped after the restaurant manager entered the bathroom and then tried to grab his foot, police said.

On April 2, the manager was notified the same suspect was seen on video surveillance cameras breaking into the restaurant and stealing several bottles of alcohol, police said.

On Wednesday, when the suspect was seen walking near the restaurant on Post Avenue, police were notified and responded to arrest Alfisi, according to a news release.
