A Glen Cove man was killed after his car collided with a garbage truck in Old Brookville on Friday, Nassau police said.

Denis Coursen, 23, was in his Nissan Maxima northbound on Glen Cove Road when the crash happened about 6:45 a.m. at Glen Head Road, police said.

He was taken to Glen Cove Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m., police said.

The truck driver was not injured, police said.

Both vehicles will undergo brake and safety tests as part of an ongoing investigation, police said.
