Police: Group robbed by knife-wielding teens
Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a Friday night robbery-by-knifepoint in Garden City South, according to Nassau County police.
Three men and a woman were walking along Roxbury Road South at about 8:55 p.m. when they were approached by three knife-wielding teens, police said.
The suspects held knives to two of the men in the group, ages 15 and 20, and forced them to empty their pockets, police said, and stole $83 and an iPod Touch, and ran north on Roxbury Road South.
Police said one suspect was believed to be 17 years old, 5-feet-8, clean-shaven with curly hair and wearing a blue shirt and a white hoodie.
The second man was described as also being 17 years old and 5-feet-8 with short hair. The third man was also described as being 17.
