Third Precinct officers are trying to determine who fired at least one round into a Hempstead home early Wednesday, Nassau County police said.

No injuries were reported, police said, in the shooting. Officers responded at 12:10 a.m.to a Laurel Avenue home.

A woman, 41, at the home reported gunshots fired, and police found one round that damaged a front window and struck a bedroom door.

Police did not find shell casings but one slug was recovered, according to a news release.

The investigation is continuing, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers, 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
