A Hempstead teen was stabbed to death Tuesday, and Nassau County police are asking for assistance in finding his killer.

Police said witnesses saw two men fleeing the scene on Grove Street early Tuesday evening, then found the victim, identified as Carlo Romeo Calderon, 17, of Grove Street, collapsed a short distance from his home just after 7:30 p.m.

Calderon had sustained "a stab wound to his neck," police said. He was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, but he died about an hour and a half later.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
