A manhunt is underway at Malverne Senior High School as police search for two men who they said burglarized an empty home.

Lt. Stan Kid of the Malverne Police Department said his office received a call at 2:04 p.m. that an alarm had gone off at a Wicks Lane home. The owners were not at home.

Police responded and found two men who subsequently fled on foot, Kid said.

Malverne police, accompanied by Nassau County police and their K-9 unit, are searching for the men, who were last seen running into woods near the school.

Kid would not release further details about the men.
