Police investigate possible armed robbery at Mobil gas station in Merrick

Police are investigating a report of a possible armed robbery at a Mobil gas station early Monday in Merrick.
Nassau County police said the robbery was reported in a 911 call at 6:37 a.m. The station is on Merrick Road near the Meadowbrook Parkway. Police said no one was injured -- and said the suspect was still at-large at 8:45 a.m.
It was not immediately clear how much was taken.
Police said the incident was not part of a recent series of pattern gas station robberies.
