An 85-year-old Glen Cove woman, who went missing after driving her car to Queens late Tuesday, was located by Nassau County police Wednesday morning -- in Glen Cove.
Ann J. Conte, who police said has dementia, was located after a caller recognized her from a description issued hours earlier in a Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert.
The alert for the 5-foot-6, 120-pound Conte was issued by the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
Police said Conte had last been seen in the College Point section of Queens at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday driving her gray 2005 Toyota Camry with New York license plates GLJ 7789.
Police said Wednesday that a caller recognized Conte and her car from the description -- and notified police.
