Police: Levittown man had illegal weapons
Nassau police have arrested a Levittown man who is accused of keeping illegal firearms in his Pebble Lane home.
Michael S. Lyon, 32, had "multiple assault-type rifles," including one that was reported stolen, along with several illegal knives, police said in a statement. Lyon also had several vials of a substance believed to be steroids, police said.
Lyon was arrested Friday, police said.
Police charged Lyon with three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, eight counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, seven counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal trespass.
