Police: Man beaten, robbed on street in Roosevelt
Nassau County police are looking for two men who beat and then robbed another man of his wallet and cellphone Tuesday in Roosevelt.
First Squad detectives said the two suspects attacked the victim at about 7:35 p.m. as he walked west on East Clinton Avenue near Berkley Place.
The two grabbed the victim and "began punching him about the face," police said.
After taking the man's cellphone and wallet, the two suspects ran off in an unknown direction, police said.
The victim had a laceration to his nose and swelling to his eye, police said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
