Police: Man brandishes stun gun in cellphone store robbery
Police are searching for a man who, wearing dark clothing and a black mask, entered a Metro PCS store on Nassau Road in Roosevelt on Wednesday evening, demanding cash from the register while threatening to zap two store employees with a hand-held stun gun.
The two employees -- a 19-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man -- were not injured.
The two gave the robber cash in a plastic bag, Nassau County police said.
Police said the robber then fled the store in a light gray vehicle, headed west on Woods Avenue. The robbery occurred at 7:47 p.m., police said.
Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
