A Wyandanch man was arrested early Sunday after Nassau County police said he drove the wrong way down a Levittown street while intoxicated.

Police said they spotted Wardin D. Guerra, 19, driving a 2002 Mitsubishi east in the westbound lanes of Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown at 3:23 a.m.

After officers pulled Guerra over, they found that he had been drinking alcohol, police said.

Guerra was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent or higher, driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or higher, reckless driving and violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

He was scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
