A Bronx man was arrested after police said he took money from a Syosset pharmacy's cash register Tuesday. He was also charged with destruction and theft counts from a September incident involving two other Syosset stores.

Thomas Cronin, 49, of 1228 Union Ave., was initially arrested after authorities said he took $140 from a cash register at the Village Pharmacy, 38 Cold Spring Rd., at 3:45 p.m., Nassau police said.

But police said Cronin also smashed the front door of Sandy's Shoe Repair, 49 Jackson Ave., in Syosset on Sept. 23, 2011, and took the store's cash register. Robbery Squad detectives said he also smashed the front glass door of an adjacent store, Fred's Barbershop, the same day.

Cronin, charged with third-degree robbery and two counts of third-degree burglary, was to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court, Hempstead.
