Man killed in two-vehicle crash in Massapequa, say cops
A 60-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday in Massapequa, Nassau police said.
A Jeep Cherokee heading east on Elm Street at 11:20 a.m. was turning left onto northbound Hicksville Road when it collided with a southbound Dodge Ram pickup truck, police said.
The Jeep driver, Edward Bauer of Massapequa, suffered internal injuries and was pronounced dead at 12:58 p.m. at a local hospital, police said.
The pickup driver, 53, had a non-life-threatening head injury and was also taken to the hospital, police said.
Detectives said no crime appeared to be involved.
