Police: Man lying on road struck by car
A 22-year-old man was struck by a car in Uniondale while he was lying in the road early Saturday morning, Nassau police said.
Police said a 23-year-old woman was driving a 2000 Honda north on Uniondale Avenue, when she struck the man at 12:58 a.m. He suffered multiple injuries and was brought to a hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
Police said they don't know why the victim was lying in the road. The vehicle was impounded for safety inspections.
Detectives report no criminality at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
