Police: Man pointed shotgun at worker, patrons in East Meadow
A North Bellmore man was arrested early Friday after he got into a dispute in an East Meadow bar - and returned later to menace patrons and the bar manager with a shotgun, police said.
Nassau County police said they found Peter Klym, 50, of 723 Newbridge Rd., through Department of Motor Vehicle records.
He was arrested at his home at 3:59 a.m., police said.
Police said Klym got into a dispute in Jake's Tavern on Newbridge Road at about 10:50 p.m. Thursday. Police were called, but Klym had already left the bar.
Police said, however, he returned at 1:20 a.m. armed with a shotgun - and menaced the manager and patrons. He fled again, but this time, police used the DMV records to locate him.
He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing. He was scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
