Police: Man robbed at knifepoint in Roosevelt
Nassau County police detectives are looking for two men believed to have robbed a man Saturday morning on Lakewood Avenue in Roosevelt.
A 24-year-old man was walking west near the intersection with Rose Avenue at about 7:20 a.m. when he was approached by two men who demanded his cash, police said.
One man displayed a knife, punched the victim, then took his wallet with credit cards and an undetermined amount of cash, police said. Both suspects fled in an unknown direction.
One is described as 6-foot-2 and the other is believed to be about 5-foot-10. Police describe both as having a stocky build and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.
The victim had a swollen face but declined medical treatment, police said.
