The man who stole the purse of a woman who was waiting for a bus in Great Neck on Aug. 6 was arrested Monday night, police said.

Farbod Hoorizadeh, 20, of Woodbourne Road, Great Neck, grabbed the purse and ran as the woman, 32, waited for the bus near the intersection of Middle Neck and Old Mill roads on Aug. 6 at about 7:30 p.m., Nassau County police said.

Police said a witness who saw Hoorizadeh using a stolen credit card from the purse at a store not far from the scene was able to identify him.

He was charged with third-degree robbery and is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
