A Merrick bank was robbed Monday when a man presented a demand note to a teller, Nassau County police said.

The man fled the Capital One Bank, 2192 Merrick Rd., with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen heading west on Merrick Road, police said.

There were five employees and a customer present during the 11:44 a.m. robbery. No one was injured.

Police said the robber was described as being 55 to 60 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches, wearing a Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap, dark hooded jacket, scarf and jeans.

Detectives said anyone with information can call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
