Fourth Squad detectives are investigating the shooting of a man Thursday as he stood outside a residence in Elmont, Nassau County police said.

The victim, who was struck in the abdomen and thigh, was standing outside a Miriam Parkway address just before 8 p.m. when he was shot at several times, police said.

He was taken to a nearby hospital by Nassau County police ambulance and is listed in stable condition.
