Police: Man sold painkiller on Craigslist
Detectives from Nassau's narcotics/vice squad arrested a Brooklyn man advertising Suboxone on Craigslist, Nassau County police said.
After reading the online ad offering the opiate-based painkiller, police said detectives set up a sting at a prearranged location in Westbury.
Detectives met Richard Yasnis, 29, of 2665 Homecrest Ave., and purchased an undisclosed number of Suboxone pills, police said. After his arrest on felony drug charges Monday, he was also found with the painkiller Percocet, police said.
Police did not disclose details of the transaction or provide the exact number of pills found on Yasnis.
Yasnis is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance, police said. He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
