A 25-year-old man was stabbed Friday night in the garage of a Freeport apartment building, Nassau County police said.

The victim was in the garage with two other men in the vicinity of South Bergen Place at about 8:20 p.m. when an argument ensued, police said. Police said the victim could not conclusively identify the address.

The victim, who was not identified, was stabbed in the chest by a man described by police only as in his 20s.

The victim then went to a 7-Eleven convenience store on Sunrise Highway and to an apartment on Wallace Street, where he was later located by police. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
