He stole the loader from a site in Suffolk, then parked it, still on the trailer he stole with it, in his driveway, police said.

Now Anastassios Poukamisas, 19, of 240 N. Virginia Ave., North Massapequa, is under arrest -- charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Police said Poukamisas stole the John Deere skid steer, a small excavator with a front scoop, from a site in Suffolk on Monday night, brought it home on the trailer he stole with it, then parked the construction equipment in his driveway.

Suffolk police had sent out a notification to other agencies to be on the lookout for the loader. Nassau Second Precinct officers spotted it in the driveway -- in broad daylight -- on Tuesday, making the arrest at 1:02 p.m., police said.

Poukamisas now faces arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
