A 40-year-old man who stopped to change a flat tire in a gas station parking lot was robbed at gunpoint by two men early Friday in North Woodmere, police said.

Nassau County police said the robbery occurred at the Shell gas station on Rosedale Road at 5:25 a.m. Police said after the man stopped, two males - each believed to be in their late teens or early 20s - approached him and flashed a silver revolver.

The pair demanded money and fled with the victim's wallet, cash and cell phone, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
