A Queens man fraudulently used a credit card at a Kohl's store in Oceanside to buy gift cards for Best Buy was arrested not long after the incident Wednesday, police said.

Nassau County police said Michael Williams, 31, of 142nd Street in Jamaica, was arrested near Grand Avenue and the Southern State Parkway in Baldwin about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument, third-degree unlawful possession of a personal identification, petty larceny and third-degree identity theft.

He is scheduled for arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said they are still searching for two other suspects who are believed to have assisted Williams. They said Williams used a credit card he was not authorized to use, claiming it was his own, to purchase 10 Best Buy gift cards worth $500 at the Kohl's store on Long Beach Road. Police said the card used to make the purchase belonged to a victim in Virginia who did not authorize its use.
