Police: Man who crashed SUV into Hicksville house caught

A Hicksville man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident when he crashed his SUV into a house and ran away, Nassau police said.
Around 12:30 a.m., Juan Garcia, 32, of Marie Street East, drove his car into a house on Gables Drive, police said.
He fled on foot but was apprehended after a police search of the area, police said.
He was charged with leaving the scene and several traffic violations, police said.
There were no reported injuries.
