A Massapequa driver pulled over Tuesday for talking on his cell phone on the Northern State Parkway faces a criminal impersonation charge after failing to provide proper identification, State Police said.

Adam Calderon, 55, of 60 Carmen Mill Rd., was driving east on the parkway near Exit 27, Shelter Rock Road, in Lake Success when he was stopped at about 6:43 p.m., police said.

When a trooper asked him for his license, Calderon said he did not have one on him and gave a false name and date of birth, according to a report.

Later, police said, they discovered Calderon's license had been suspended.

Calderon also is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and several traffic violations, police said.

His arraignment information at First District Court in Hempstead was not immediately available.
