Police: Minor injury in Northern State Parkway accidents

A section of the westbound Northern State Parkway that was closed in Plainview was reopened by about 2 p.m. Thursday, a State Police spokesman said.

At about 12:30 p.m. police had been investigating a two-car accident on the eastbound side near Exit 37A, the spokesman said, when a four-car accident occurred on the westbound side, resulting in that side's closure between Exit 37A, the I-495 Connector, and Exit 37, Manetto Hill Road.

Injuries to those in both accidents were minor, he said.
