Police: Missing Westbury 13-year-old girl sought

Nassau County police are looking for a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing Wednesday afternoon after last being seen at a Westbury school.
According to detectives, Michelle Lopez, who lives in Westbury, was seen at Park Avenue Elementary School at about 1 p.m. Wednesday and has not been heard from since. A police spokeswoman said she did not know Lopez’s connection to the school.
Police described Lopez as a light-skinned Hispanic who weighs 135 pounds and has long black hair, brown eyes, braces and a small scar on her forehead. She was wearing a white tee shirt and black shorts.
