Police: New Cassel man shot in head
A 19-year-old man was shot once in the head early Saturday in New Cassel by an unknown man in dark clothing, Nassau County police confirmed.
The assault occurred at 12:30 a.m. on Bond Street, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was unknown.
The gunman fled the scene on foot, police said.
