Police officer, motorist hurt in Lynbrook crash
A Lynbrook police officer was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital with minor injuries Wednesday night after being involved in a two-car collision near Sunrise Highway and Ocean Avenue, police said.
A second person also was injured in the crash and was taken to South Nassau as well with minor injuries, officers said.
Officers responded about 7:35 p.m., said Lynbrook Village Police Sgt. Carl Lengel.
Further details about the accident, such as who caused the accident, were not immediately available.
