A Pennsylvania man was arrested Thursday in the robbery of a Franklin Square bank, Nassau County's Robbery Squad said.

Police said Enley Ball, 33, of Tobyhanna, Pa., is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead on charges of first-degree robbery and criminal use and possession of a weapon.

Police said Ball entered the TD Bank at 690 Hempstead Tpke. at about 6:20 p.m. and demanded money from a teller. After getting an unspecified amount of cash, Ball fled in an unknown direction, police said.

A short time later, Fourth Precinct police said they arrested Ball on Caroline Avenue and Ninth Street and recovered proceeds from the robbery.

Five employees were in the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
