Police are investigating a morning rush-hour accident Wednesday that left a pedestrian injured in Hicksville.

The pedestrian, who was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Broadway and Old Country Road, has been identified only as "a male" by Nassau County police. The incident occurred at about 8 a.m.

Police said the road wasn't closed as a result of the incident and the extent of the injuries was not clear.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
