Police responding to a 911 call reporting possible shots fired at about 11 p.m. Thursday found shell casings on a residential street in Freeport.

But, Nassau County police said no one was injured -- and that investigators could find no evidence of property damage -- at the scene outside the home on St. Marks Avenue.

Police said the investigation is continuing.
