Police rescue man off Massapequa shore
A man had to be rescued Monday morning off the shore of Massapequa after his boat overturned according to Nassau police.
A 14-foot sailboat overturned some time before 7:50 a.m., dumping the boat's lone person occupant into the water. A Nassau police marine unit responded and took the adult male to shore.
He was not injured and did not require hospitalization, police said.
The boat remained capsized in the water.
