Police: Rockville Centre man threatens family with machete
A Rockville Centre man was arrested on a weapons possession charge after allegedly threatening a family with a machete in a road-rage incident on Sunrise Highway, village police said.
Celestino Tiburcio, 60, of Clinton Avenue, also faces charges of menacing and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after brandishing a machete at the family at about 2:15 p.m. on July 24, Rockville Centre police said.
Tiburcio was released on an appearance ticket, police said. He is due to appear in First District Court in Hempstead on Aug. 9.
