The man who walked into the Wendy's on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont Sunday night wasn't looking to order a Baconator triple burger, a broccoli and cheese potato, a garden side salad or a twisted Frosty. Police said all he wanted was some cash.

Armed with a handgun, he got it.

Nassau County police are searching for the armed robber, who ran off following the robbery at 9:39 p.m. Sunday.

No one was injured.

Police did not say how much was taken.

Police said the incident began when the man walked into the Wendy's at 199 Hempstead Tpke., produced the handgun and then jumped over the counter, demanding the cashiers and manager hand over all the money in the registers and in the cash boxes.

The robber also took a touch-screen cell phone from a customer, police said.

There were three employees and four customers in the store at the time of the robbery.

Police said the man was 5-foot-9 and wore a "bucket-type hat," a red shirt, dark shorts and carried a back pack.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
