Nassau County police are looking for a masked gunman who robbed an Elmont gas station late Wednesday.

Police said the gunman entered the BP gas station at 653 Hempstead Tpke. at about 11:37 p.m. and demanded the clerk give him money.

The male clerk, 26, complied, and the suspect left in an unknown direction with an unspecified amount of cash.

The suspect was wearing gloves, a mask and hooded shirt that covered his face, police said.

One employee and one customer were in the store during the robbery; no injuries were reported.
