Police seek gunman in Hempstead shooting
Third Squad detectives are looking for a gunman who shot at another man in front of a house in Hempstead on Tuesday, Nassau County police said.
At 1:03 p.m., as a man sat in front of a home on Elizabeth Avenue, another man appeared across the street, police said.
The second man began shooting at the victim with a handgun, police said, and then fled.
There were no injuries, police said.
