Police seek gunman who robbed 7-Eleven
Eighth Squad detectives are looking for a man who used a gun Thursday to rob a 7-Eleven in Bethpage, Nassau County police said.
Detectives said a man entered the store at 25 Stewart Ave. just before 4 a.m., displayed a handgun and ordered two customers, a 29-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, to the floor.
He then told the store clerk, a 55-year-old man, to surrender his wallet and money from two registers, police said in a news release.
The suspect also took a cellphone and cash from the customers before fleeing south on Stewart Avenue on foot.
No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as having a medium build, wearing all black clothing and carrying a backpack, police said.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
