He handed a bank teller a demand note, took the cash and fled on foot. Now Nassau County police are searching for the man who they said robbed the People's United Bank branch in Hicksville on Tuesday evening.

Police said the suspect was about 5-foot-9, in his mid-to-late 20s or early 30s and was wearing a royal-blue track suit, black wool hat and aviator-style glasses with silver frames. He robbed the bank on South Oyster Bay Road at 5:55 p.m.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
