Police seek info on Freeport shooting

Police are searching for the person who shot and critically wounded a woman in Freeport early Monday morning.

Freeport police officers responding to a 911 call of shots fired discovered Kelly Ann McGuire, 43, of Freeport, in Milburn Creek Park critically injured by a gunshot wound.

The incident was reported at 2:40 a.m.

Police said McGuire was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
