Police are searching for the driver of a dark-colored sedan that struck a woman, injuring her, early Tuesday morning on Merrick Road in Lynbrook.

Lynbrook police said the pedestrian, whose identity was not released, was not seriously injured -- but was taken to a hospital for treatment. The accident occurred near the intersection of Merrick and Nieman Avenue at about 7 a.m., police said.

The only description of the vehicle available is that it was a "dark-colored sedan."
