Police seek man caught on video rummaging through unlocked vehicle in Woodmere
Fourth Squad detectives are trying to find a man who rummaged through an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a Woodmere home last month, Nassau County police said Tuesday.
The man didn't take anything, but police released video and a photograph of the suspect opening the driver's door of the vehicle at a Burton Avenue home.
Police said the suspect was seen on the homeowner's surveillance video searching the vehicle's center console about 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 30.
A police spokesman said Tuesday the man is not suspected of entering other vehicles in the area; however, police in a news release urged car owners to lock their vehicles at all times.
