A 23-year-old woman walking along a street in Uniondale was robbed Monday evening by two men armed with a handgun, police said.

The woman, whose identity was not released, was not injured. Nassau County police said she is a Hofstra student.

Police said the two men approached the victim at 8:10 p.m. on California Avenue, flashed a handgun -- and demanded her belongings.

The robbers took a Dell laptop computer, a beige Coach pocketbook containing cash and credit cards and an Apple iPhone. The two then fled in a small white car, heading south on Greengrove Avenue toward Front Street, according to police.

Police asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
