Police seek pair in jewelry heist
Police are searching for two armed robbers who held up a jewelry store on Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square on Wednesday morning.
The robbery was at Philip & Son's jewelry store at about 9:40 a.m., Nassau County police said.
The robbers stole "assorted jewelry," police said, but they could not immediately say what items were taken or how much they were worth.
Police said the store was open when it was robbed. No one was injured.
