Police seek suspect in Westbury bank robbery
Police are seeking the man who robbed the Bethpage Federal Credit Union on Old Country Road in Westbury on Wednesday.
According to Nassau County police, the robbery occurred at 1:50 p.m. when a male suspect entered the credit union building and presented a note to a teller demanding money. After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect left on foot southbound on Westbury Drive.
Police said six employees and three customers were in the bank at the time.
There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as a male, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, 35 to 40 years old with blonde hair. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, gray sweatshirt and jeans.
