Police seek suspects in Hempstead fire
Nassau County police on Tuesday asked for the public's help identifying a pair of men who set a fire last month at a Hempstead Village house, and detectives released surveillance images of the two suspects.
The county's arson squad said the two poured an accelerant on a doormat at 150 Washington St., then set it on fire, at about 7:40 a.m. Sept. 10.
Nassau Crime Stoppers asked anyone with information about the incident to make a confidential call to the agency's hotline at 800-244-8477.
