Police seek three men in Uniondale robbery
Police are searching for three men who robbed a 26-year-old man walking along a street at gunpoint Sunday evening in Uniondale, kicking him and striking him in the head with the gun before stealing $20 and fleeing the scene.
The victim, who Nassau County police said "sustained bruising," refused medical attention.
Police said the incident occurred on Paff Avenue near Jerusalem Avenue at 7:20 p.m.
It was then, police said, that the victim was approached by three men who, armed with a handgun, demanded cash.
The trio threw the man to the ground, police said, then kicked him until he handed over $20. The robbers then struck the victim in the head, police said, and ran off.
Police are looking for the men, described as being in their early 20s, and who were wearing dark colored clothing and hoods. One of the robbers had what police said the victim described as "a large mole" on the left side of his face.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
